Gotham actor Damian Lewis says he wants “The Soprano” to return to the big screen.

The Sopranol actor spoke with The Hollywood Reporter on Monday about the news that “The Godfather” and “The Wire” star Ed Harris is returning to the series as well as his plans for a new series.

Lewis said he’s looking forward to the return of the original series, which ran from 2001 to 2005, but doesn’t want to say what the series will be.

“I want it to be the best show, the greatest show that ever was,” Lewis said.

“But if it’s something else, I don’t know.”

Lewis has been busy lately, with roles in “The Amazing Spider-Man” sequel “The Web of Spider-Sense,” “Gothams” season three, and the upcoming “Goths.”

He’s also starring in the upcoming CBS series “The Vampire Diaries.”

“I was at a big convention recently where the guys who are doing the next “Vampire Diaries” season said, ‘We know we want you to play an actor,'” Lewis said of his upcoming series.

“And I said, I have to go back to work.”
